Resource management fees and charges
The fees and charges below apply to processing fees associated with applications for resource management.
All fees are stated as GST inclusive and are effective from 1 July 2025. Where the costs incurred by the Council are less than the deposit paid then it will provide a refund of the remaining deposit. Where the actual and reasonable costs incurred exceed the deposit paid the Council will require that an additional charge be paid.
The fees and charges structure is designed to enable the recovery of the Council’s actual and reasonable costs of providing the particular service. Council is empowered to impose an additional charge in such circumstances by section 36(3) of the Resource Management Act. In these instances, the Council will charge for the actual time and costs involved.
If a fee or charge for a Council service is not specifically listed below, the charge or fee will be the total of the actual cost of materials, officer time incurred to provide the service, and GST.
