Every school holidays, the teams from Upper Hutt Libraries, H₂O Xtream Aquatic Centre, Whirinaki Whare Taonga, and Community Partnerships at Upper Hutt City Council host a fizzing line-up of free and low-cost holiday events.
We often partner up with local sports clubs and active recreation groups to offer have-a-go sports sessions and give local kids the opportunity to move, enjoy the outdoors, and build team skills.
From craft sessions, code cracker challenges, to have-a-go golf or intro to darts: U-PLAY is for you, and for keeping our local tamariki (kids) busy, active, and entertained during the holidays.
Sign up for our quarterly U-PLAY newsletter.
We publish a downloadable timetable of holiday events here, and make printed brochures available at Upper Hutt Libraries, Civic Centre Building, Whirinaki Whare Taonga, and H₂O Xtream Aquatic Centre, usually two weeks before the start of the school holidays.
