Upper Hutt Flood Hazard Modelling

Wellington Water, in collaboration with Greater Wellington Regional Council, is updating flood hazard models for Upper Hutt to inform future urban planning and infrastructure investment.

Roading and safety works (updated 17 November 2025)

+ Avro Road: Roadworks 21-28 November. Road closed with residential access.
+ Hikurangi Street: Civil works for housing development until 19 December. Traffic management setups in place.
+ Fergusson Drive: Road surface repairs until 20 December. Expect lane diversions, stop/go traffic, and bus stop changes between 9am–2:45pm.
+ Trim overhanging vegetation to keep footpaths and roads safe.
