When results will be available?

Election results are released in three stages as votes are verified and counted:

Progress results

These are the first results, showing votes received and counted before and on the morning of election day. Progress results are expected from 3PM on Saturday, 11 October once reconciliations and quality checks are complete. These results are indicative and may change.

Preliminary Results

These include all ordinary votes but not special votes. They are expected to be available no earlier than 4PM on Sunday, 12 October, once all ordinary voting papers received by the close of voting have been processed.

Official results

These are the final confirmed results, including both ordinary and special votes. They will be released on Thursday, 16 October, following completion of all verification and counting processes.

We appreciate everyone who took part in this year’s elections. Thank you for contributing to the future of Upper Hutt.
