Join Ōrongomai Marae for a community evening of kōrero, storytelling, and reflection as we mark Puanga and the Māori New Year.
This gathering is a time to pause and reflect on the year that has been, acknowledge those who are no longer with us, and look ahead to the year to come.
Through shared kōrero and whakaaro, we will explore the significance of Puanga in Upper Hutt and the seasonal turning of the year.
This is a welcoming community event open to all on the eve of Matariki, offering space for connection, reflection, and shared understanding as we prepare for the dawn of the Māori New Year.
