Māori language week 2022
It has been 50 years since the Māori language petition was carried before Government to emphasise its importance.
To acknowledge this here in Aotearoa, we are hanging flags around Upper Hutt to celebrate Māori Language Week.
It's often said the food of a leader is discussion, so our challenge is for you to speak any te Reo you may know this week.
If you aren’t confident enough to speak whole sentences, you can easily celebrate Māori Language Week by simply speaking what you know.
A simple kia ora goes a long way
