Consultation on Easter Sunday Trading and Local Approved Products

We’ve recently reviewed two of our policies and are keen to seek your feedback on what we’re proposing.

• The first one is the Easter Sunday Trading Policy which currently gives all shops across Upper Hutt the ability to choose to trade on Easter Sunday. We’re proposing that we retain the current policy which allows shops to trade.
  
  
• The second is the Local Approved Products Policy (Sale of approved Psychoactive Substances) which allows us to manage applications from retailers wanting to sell ‘approved products’ within the district of Upper Hutt. We’re proposing that the policy be rescinded (cancelled) as it is unlikely to ever be needed with no products likely to approved in the near future.
