Map Gallery

Upper Hutt City Council maintains a collection of user-friendly Online Maps and Apps that are available to the general public. These maps are stored in a Map Gallery and include the Xplorer Viewer, Hazards Map, Draft PC50 Zoning and Engagement, an Arts and Heritage Tour and much more.

There are several Maps and Apps currently being developed including a Tracks Viewer and a Community Map. These will be added to the Map Gallery as they are published.

Xplorer

Xplorer allows users to search for properties in Upper Hutt and obtain information such as rates, consents, legal descriptions and underground services in relation to the property of interest. Users may also view the relevant District Planning Zones and/or Sub-Zones along with proposed plan changes.

Operative District Plan 2004 - ePlan

Our ePlan is an interactive map which serves as a guide to Upper Hutt City Council's Operative District Plan. The District Plan is the primary document that manages land use and development within Upper Hutt.  It contains rules that may affect you if you are preparing a land use proposal or development. Various District Plan maps are also available in downloadable (PDF) format on the District Plan page.

Looking for Information on Wind Zones?

We do not display wind zones data in our public map viewers such as Xplorer or our Natural Hazards Map, as the dataset of wind zones for Upper Hutt is indicative only, and has not recently received an update or review. Independent assessments are highly suggested by our building team, as every site is different. However, a map of wind zones for Upper Hutt is available for download via the link below:
