Have your say on the future of local government in the Wellington region.
Keith George Memorial Park and the Silverstream Scenic Reserve are side by side areas of bush and forest which include several challenging walking trails. There is an information board with a full map at the car park.
The walking tracks at Keith George Memorial Park are considered to be advanced walking tracks.
The lower loop track is a benched walk through the lower parts of the park. Travelling south, from the car park, to the original entrance to the park, the track then steps uphill, before looping back onto itself.
Walkers can walk up either of these tracks across the pylon track and back down the other track.
Once reached, via either the Trig or North Ridge Track the Pylon Track can be walked either through to State Highway 58 or Moonshine Road.
Pack your bag, tell someone where you are going and when you'll be back, take some food and water, wear clothes and footwear suitable to the weather conditions, and enjoy Upper Hutt's beautiful outdoors!
