Winter is here and so is the chance to make your home warmer, drier, and more energy efficient. This June, we’re teaming up with EECA to bring you a free local event focused on comfort, affordability, and sustainability at home.

You'll learn practical tips to cut energy bills, reduce dampness, and keep your home cosy all while doing your bit for the environment.

Everyone deserves to live in a warm, dry home. The Warmer Kiwi Homes programme can help by covering up to 90% of the cost of insulation and up to 80% off the cost of an energy-efficient heater.

You may be eligible if you:

  • Own and live in a home built before 2008, and
  • Live in Trentham North, Ebdentown, or Brentwood,
     OR anywhere in Upper Hutt and hold a Community Services Card or SuperGold Combo Card.

What’s available:

  • Insulation Grant – if your home has no ceiling or underfloor insulation.
  • Heating Grant – if your home is already insulated but lacks a qualifying heater (e.g. heat pump, wood or pellet burner, flued gas heater, or central heating).
