Silverstream Park is getting an exciting new playground upgrade, with work set to begin on a brand-new playground designed for children of all ages and abilities.
The new playground will feature slides, climbing structures, and interactive play equipment. A dedicated junior play area and new ACE swings will ensure the space is welcoming for both younger and older children.
The project is part of Upper Hutt City Council’s Long-Term Plan to improve community spaces and support the growing Silverstream population.
It will be driven by our Open Spaces and Facilities team who are focused on creating safe, inclusive places where our youngest residents can play, grow, and thrive.
The new playground was designed by Playco, with swings supplied by Playground People, and will be installed with help from local contractors.
It’s expected to be completed by the end of May 2025.
