Worm farms are an awesome way to get your food scraps away from landfill and transformed into an amazing soil fertilizer. Come along to Birchville Community Garden to learn about worms, how you can make your own worm farm, and an option to get hands-on fixing up the community garden’s bathtub worm farm, which needs a bit of TLC!
Hosted by Kate Walmsley (composting expert) and Alice Midgley (garden coordinator), this is a hands-on, family-friendly event, perfect for all ages. Once the worms are sorted, feel free to stay on for a tour of the garden.
The first 30 people who pre-register will get a voucher on arrival for a subsidised home compost solution.
